About the Author

Renae is a long-time collector of the Victorian era, Conta & Boehme, porcelain fairing trinket box. Her collection started over thirty years ago and has grown to over 1000 boxes, including many rare pieces. Though her main focus is the trinket box, other items produced by Conta & Boehme have made their way into the collection, such as inkwells, pocket watch holders, and more. Through her book, with over 1300 images, her wish is to share personal observations, some interesting finds, and her collection.
Born in Minnesota, Renae has spent her life there. Together with her husband, they have raised a family of three children. When not focused on the fairings, she spends many hours quilting, researching family ancestry, traveling, and enjoying time spent with her ten grandchildren.
